Mid-Autumn Tea Mail

Sale price Price $34.00 USD Regular price

Celebrate this season with a curated selection of our favorite autumn teas and a tiny persimmon tea pet.

We've selected each item with intention. In Chinese culture, persimmons are an auspicious symbol of autumn and good fortune. We also love their vibrant pop of color, making it one of our favorite tea pets.

To honor tradition, we've included Osmanthus Oolong. Osmanthus flowers bloom across parts of Asia this time of year, and are strongly associated with mid-autumn festival and the moon, as seen in poetry, art and folklore. Their blooms create a beautiful, sweet scent that harmonizes wonderfully with oolong tea.

Finally, our autumn-harvest Dark Roasted Tieguanyin brings warming notes of baked fruits and nuts. Its roast is perfectly structured to cut through the bold, sweet flavors of traditional mooncakes.

Limited availability - only 12 sets in total.

Farm Stories

Our Osmanthus Oolong is grown and crafted in the mountainous region of Mae Salong, Thailand. We love this particular tea maker's naturally scented oolongs: They grow their own osmanthus trees right along their terraced tea fields, filling the mountain air with a sweet yet delicate fragrance during autumn season. One of the highlights of our trip there was walking along these osmanthus trees in full bloom.

Our Dark Roasted Tieguanyin is sourced directly from its historical birthplace in Anxi, China. We get this tea from Master Wang, whose family has been crafting Tieguanyin for an incredible 13 generations (since 1726!). Despite recent industry trends toward a modern, greener style of Tieguanyin, the Wang family remains deeply dedicated to preserving the traditional, roasted style using the heirloom Hongxin cultivar.
