What We're Grateful for This Year

Happy Thanksgiving, friends. There are many things to be grateful for and I wanted to share them with you, as well as take the chance to remind myself that the glass is half full.

1. My Dream Team

Ever since starting Teawala, it's been my goal to build a team. With your support, I've slowly been able to do that.

This year I hired a part-time packer named Daniel. Daniel brings positivity, fun and a go-getter mindset to the Teawala office in Hong Kong, while packing your orders with care and helping me create reel content for you. There have been so many shared laughs and moments of joy since he began - I'm proud to have him on my team.

I also started partnering with my cousin Jasmine, who has been fulfilling your orders seamlessly from the US since the postal services suspended. She has been a life saver and so wonderful to work with. It's always a pleasure and a privilege to be able to work with family.

Please support Jasmine's Etsy shop - Bloom Page Wood - her pressed botanical accessories are gorgeous!

2. You

Your support and enthusiasm for my journey and the teas I source is what keeps me motivated. I love reading your reviews, tagged posts, comments, private messages, orders and more - they fill my heart with warmth. And they let me know I'm making an impact on your lives, even if it's in a small way.

Some of you have been here since the beginning of my tea journey, some have joined along the way, and I've been lucky enough to meet some of you in person (like Ara below). I always keep you in mind when creating new projects or sourcing new teas. I am truly blessed to have your support.

3. Travel re-opening

It was a privilege to travel to tea farms in Thailand this year and remind myself why I love tea so much. I was welcomed with open arms by the wonderful tea community there and I'm so thankful for the lifetime friendships built.

Spending time at tea villages and farms there gave me the chance to rest and recharge, get re-inspired, learn, go on spontaneous adventures, draw and create. An unforgettable trip that I will cherish forever.

4. My support system

Starting and running a small business can be really tough at times. Though I may not always show it, I go through moments of self-doubt and uncertainty. I'm thankful for my close friends and family who've listened and been there for me throughout. One friend in particular (you know who you are!) has been helping me through weekly check ins and business mentorship. Thank you so much!!

Also, my nephew who I adore just turned one. Seeing him grow has been one of the highlights of my year.

5. Lastly, Tea!

For bringing me comfort, joy, calm, inspiration, motivation, warmth, energy, and creativity when I need it. And for connecting us all with each other.
