The videos are professional-looking and easy to follow, and many useful handouts are provided for each chapter. The course focuses on white, green, oolong, black, and pu’er, and even if no prior knowledge is required the contents are never obvious for an average tea-lover who already has some background.
I love Mona’s teaching style and she is extremely available and kind when you need technical support. The quizzes and assignments are a plus, because students can put their learning into practice and check their understanding with immediate feedback. Excellent balance of broad and deep

Mona's tea course is a delight for the mind and the senses. I took the course as a long-time tea drinker looking to broaden my knowledge of tea-producing regions and tea-processing styles and increase my familiarity with different cultivars. Thanks to Mona's concise, informative videos and printable illustrated handouts, I now have a much stronger grasp on these concepts, as well as a deeper appreciation for my favorite teas. Mona's artfully designed "tasting journal" worksheets were also very helpful to me as I refined my ability to describe flavor notes of various teas. Another aspect of the course that was quite useful was comparing similar teas side by side. Using Mona's videos and handouts as a guide, I practiced this skill at home, tasting contrasting exemplars of the same tea or multiple teas from the same region. I am now better able to articulate the similarities and differences between teas, in terms of appearance, aroma, and flavor profile. It feels good to understand what I like about a tea, why I gravitate toward certain categories of tea, and how my preferences have changed over time. Plus, Mona is really nice, and fun to brew tea with over the Internet!
